About the Artist
Background:
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Chico where I received honors in Painting and Drawing. I have 3+ years of experience in the licensed apparel industry as an artist where I worked as an art lead on apparel packages. I swapped careers as I am equally passionate about games and now have 7+ years of AAA industry experience as a video game Producer.
Interests:
I like most nerdy or arty things — reading, writing, comics, video games, noisy music, tabletop games, sewing, crocheting, fresh air from time to time. I can really nerd out about music and art history.
Artist Statement:
In my personal work I explore the macabre from a feminine perspective. My aim is to convey feelings of inadequacy, violation, betrayal, remorse, ambition, and desire through the female lens. I usually do this by portraying vulnerable bodies which appear uncomfortable or constricted, and experiment with emotive coloring and rendering. I am interested in telling a story through my art, cute or crude, and hope you enjoy the ride.
